New Logo

October 17, 2009

Hey maybe you have noticed the new logo I have been sporting.  I’ve been meaning to make a big announcement, maybe even follow it up with a special, but I have just been sooo busy I haven’t been able to get it together.  Well I thought today would be a fitting day to announce it, as I took my designer’s children’s pictures today!  So there you have it, Holly is amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone needing design ideas.  Here is here website and a couple pics of her adorable kids.  Miss Hannah is as beautiful as her mother, and Aiden is quite the little firecracker, rockin the faux-hawk!!

One More!!

October 15, 2009

I knew I would have to show more from this session. This is not something I normally do, but I just thought this picture called for it.  It kind of reminds me of one of those greeting cards, so sweet.  Isn’t her outfit the best!!

My Wall Project!!

August 20, 2009

After many, many months of debate and much saving of money, I finally finished my wall of pictures.  These pictures were taken in March on our spring break with Andrew’s family and his sister took the pictures.  I looked at many different scenarios in how I wanted to put these up there, but I knew I had a huge space to fill, so I knew the pictures had to be big.  I also didn’t want to have to worry about vertical or horizontal, so I chose to go with square 20×20′s and I wanted the picture to be the main focus, so I went with glass clip frames.  They turned out great and I am so pleased with the outcome.  Now I am not a product photographer, so you’ll have to excuse the crappy pictures, but I thought I’d put it up here to give others ideas of what you can do with large spaces.

New Product!!

August 2, 2009

After much surveying and talking to clients I am offering some new products to replace the wallets that come in my packages.  Many of you have said that you don’t use the amount of wallets that come in the packages, so as an alternative to the wallets I am offering albums.  In the smaller packages I am offering a 3×3 mini acordian album that is great for a brag book. The pages are custom made for each session including as many as 16 or more pictures from your session on 12 pages.  As the packages get bigger the albums get bigger as well, be sure to ask about it at your next session.  I will still offer wallets for those of you that would prefer them, but I thought this was a fun way to solve the dilemma I have had with the wallets.  Here is a sample of one of the mini albums and what the pages can look like.  All the albums have custom designed pages and make a wonderful addition to our products.

New Product!!

July 24, 2009

I am so excited to start offering these new custom wall letters!!  I haven’t gotten my printed ones back yet, but for now will send you over to a fellow photographer’s blog so you can get an idea of what they will look like.   They are 5×10 pictures mounted on 2mm styrene board and sprayed for durability.  I will post pictures as soon as I get them printed to give you an actual idea of what they will look like printed, but for now I thought I’d show you one that I made from a recent client session.  I am making them for all my children, I love the way the really showcase a child’s personality as well as their name.samplename

Here are just a few pictures from our trip.  I am not a travel photographer, and was really disappointed with my photos, or lack there of .  It was really hot and we barely scratched the surface, I would go back when it is cooler and do nothing but the history and all the amazing tours, we just did one little tour on a bus and it was hard to take pics from a moving bus.  Anyway, here’s just a few shots from the trip.

NOLA

Sneaky Peeky!!

April 30, 2009

A couple from yesterdays session.  This little sweety is six months, time flies when taking pictures of babies.  She was an awesome newborn to take pics of and she still does a fabulous job.  I decided to try out a couple of my new toys on one of these, I think they would be fun on a portrait for a play room or kids room.  I can imagine having lots of fun with these shapes, especially when I learn how to use them better, for now, though, this is what I came up with.  She is quite the princess anyway, so this is very fitting for her six month shot I think.

Finished Project

February 28, 2009

I finally finished my painting that I have been putting off for months.  I bought this great big canvas and couldn’t wait to paint it, but when faced with it, it was a little overwhelming.  Last week, though, I had time and finally decided to get it finished.  I think it’s pretty good for my first time.
